  1. Near the center of town is the famed Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historic Park. As the only National Park in Vermont, it is easily one of the best-rated things to do in Woodstock, VT. It’s a beautiful natural paradise perfect for hiking, including the popular Pogue/Mt. Tom loop, which is 4.2 miles long. Aside from hiking, other things to do here include taking guided tours of the historic Marsh-Billings home, open from May – October, and visiting the adjacent Billings Farm & Museum, a working farm and heritage museum.
  2. Eating fresh and local is central to the experience at our Woodstock, VT Bed and Breakfast, and is also a time-honored tradition here in Woodstock. It’s probably no surprise, then, that visiting the Woodstock Farmers Market is one of our favorite things to do in Woodstock, VT. It’s open year-round and is a great place to pick up picnic supplies.

One of the simplest pleasures that can be enjoyed at our Bed and Breakfast in Vermont is enjoying a glass of wine or beer from our curated selection or a craft cocktail from our well-stocked bar. Of course, you can also do that at local breweries like Long Trail Brewing in Bridgewater or even a tasting at Caledonia Spirits in Montpelier, the maker of the award-winning Barr Hill craft spirits.
  4. Drive a little out of downtown Woodstock, and enjoy lunch or dinner and shopping at the Simon Pearce Flagship store in Quechee. You can also watch the artisans at work in their state-of-the-art turbine-powered glassblowing studio.
  5. While in Quechee, don’t miss the chance to see Vermont’s deepest gorge, the Quechee Gorge. The bridge that spans the gorge stands an impressive 168 feet above the river. You can hike along the gorge or simply enjoy a delightful picnic overlooking the waterfalls.
