Farm-to-Table Meal at Cloudland Farm

Cloudland Farm stands as a beautiful emblem of Vermont’s rich agricultural tradition. It is an incredible dining experience for those who value a connection to the land where their food comes from. This is a true farm-to-table dining experience. Cloudland Farm, a working farm in operation since 1908, raises black Angus cattle, laying hens, Cornish-cross meat chickens, turkeys, pastured pigs, vegetables, herbs, and flowers.

The Cloudland Farm Market on the premises offers a variety of farm-fresh goods, including natural Angus beef steaks, ground beef, roasts, beef sausages, beef jerky, and pickles. The market also has a wonderful selection of local, artisan-made goods, such as maple syrup, local cheeses, handmade goat’s milk soaps, wooden cheese boards, Laura White pottery, and more. The market is typically open from 12 – 4 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, but it’s also open to dinner guests as they arrive for their meal. It’s a fantastic market to peruse and is worth your time.

Cloudland Farm is open for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays and only by reservation. Due to the limited nature and popularity of this restaurant, this is one you’ll want to plan well in advance. Reservations are often booked out well in advance, especially during busy times of the year. The meal you’ll enjoy at Cloudland Farm will be well worth it, though!

The restaurant is headed up by Chef Mike Borraccio, who uses ingredients sourced directly from Cloudland Farm and other local purveyors to create a creative and delectable menu. No two dining experiences are the same, as is often the case when locally sourced ingredients are the star. The menus are crafted daily based on what’s available and will always be available on the website during the week prior to your reservation. This spring, for example, you’ll find a maple-inspired menu with items like turnip soup with a maple vinegar reduction, Cloudland Farm pork loin with maple-mustard braised beans, and a Chocolate budino with maple caramel.

Dining here is not just about the food. It’s an experience that demonstrates Vermonter’s sense of place and land stewardship. From the dining room’s rustic elegance to the panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, you’ll enjoy a dining experience that is as memorable as it is delicious.
