The Jackson House Inn defines the classic charm of Vermont. We welcome you to stay awhile, and discover the best of New England from a perfectly central setting. Our home surrounds you with a refined atmosphere of warmth and comfort. It is an ideal retreat for a relaxing escape for couples or small groups of friends.
The main house, built in 1890 by local sawmill owner Wales N. Johnson, offers perfect locations for reading and lively conversation in the library and parlor. Guest rooms and third-floor suites retain a sense of home while pampering every need with updated linens and down bedding as well as private baths and satellite TV. The suite wing, added to the building in the late 1990’s, provides more spacious accommodations featuring gas fireplaces and massage tubs. The palette of earth tones chosen for the rooms is a perfect complement to the landscape views from your room.
Secure a cozy spot by the fire in the large dining room or a secluded view of the Vermont scenery from porches, patios and balconies. Linger in this serene setting after a summer camp drop-off or before a pick-up, following a winter day on the ski slopes of nearby Killington or Okemo, or in the midst of a visit to attend a parent event for Dartmouth College or one of several other universities nearby.
Please note: The Jackson House Inn is a smoke-free property, including the grounds. We love children and animals, but we can only accommodate guests age 12 or older, and we do not accept pets.
